Roberto Aiolfi, Ph.D

Dr. Roberto Aiolfi received his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan under the supervision of Dr. Luca Guidotti and is carrying out his postdoctoral studies as a MERU Foundation Fellow in the Ruggeri Lab at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Aiolfi brings to the team an expertise of the immune system focusing specifically on the role of platelets in the immunopathogenesis of viral infections and cancer in vivo. He has authored peer-reviewed scientific articles in publications such as Cell, PNAS and PLoS Pathogen.
